Termites have been known to cause more than 5 billion dollars worth of property damage in the United States every year.  As a homeowner, you want to protect your home against any type of termite damage.

Concerned homeowners should contact a professional pest control company to perform regular inspections, to determine where and how the termites might be entering your home, and to ensure properties remain free from any further damage in which termites can cause.

Subterranean termite colonies can contain as many as one (1) million or more members and expand their colonies during swarming.

An indication of Subterranean termite infestation includes mud, grass, or tunnels in the wood.

The following areas and conditions should be inspected for Subterranean termites:

  • Areas with excessive moisture, including leaking pipes or faucets and water damage of any kind
  • Attics
  • Crawl spaces – (Areas underneath your house that are raised)
  • Expansion joints or cracks in the foundation; and
  • Exterior perimeter and roof line.
